As Visual Merchandising Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the retail experience and visual identity of Universal Genève across boutiques, retail partners, shop-in-shops, and special events worldwide. You will act as a trusted partner to the Creative, Marketing, and Retail teams, transforming brand stories and product launches into refined physical experiences that reflect the Maison’s heritage, craftsmanship, and contemporary vision.
You will contribute to delivering exceptional customer experiences while ensuring consistent brand expression and execution across all markets.
Your Craft
- You will serve as a trusted partner to the Creative Team, transforming brand concepts and storytelling into refined, high-quality visual merchandising executions.
- You will design and develop inspiring window displays, retail animations, and visual concepts aligned with the identity, heritage, and values of Universal Genève.
- You will create original, elegant, and commercially impactful retail experiences that enhance customer engagement and elevate the in-store experience.
- You will develop visual merchandising concepts and activation materials for product launches, special editions, exhibitions, events, and pop-up experiences.
- You will collaborate closely with Retail, Marketing, and Commercial teams to create a seamless and elevated customer journey at every point of sale.
- You will support storytelling initiatives that showcase the Maison’s heritage, watchmaking expertise, and product collections.
- You will cultivate strong relationships with premium suppliers, production partners, craftsmen, and external agencies.
- You will oversee the development of materials, samples, prototypes, and final productions while ensuring the highest standards of quality.
- You will coordinate internal ordering processes, production schedules, logistics, and installations to ensure flawless and timely delivery of all visual merchandising assets.
- You will partner with markets and retail partners worldwide, providing expert guidance and customized solutions to guarantee consistent implementation and impeccable execution.
- You will support on-site installations and local market activations when required.
- You will create sophisticated presentations, communication tools, and visual materials that enhance the visibility and impact of the department.
- You will develop comprehensive visual merchandising guidelines, manuals, and implementation documents to ensure consistent brand expression globally.
- You will create and deliver engaging visual merchandising training sessions for retail teams, wholesale partners, and brand ambassadors, both online and onsite.
- You will promote and uphold visual merchandising best practices across all regions and channels.
- You will monitor and analyze the performance of visual merchandising activations in collaboration with Retail teams to continuously improve customer engagement and retail performance.
- You will oversee visual merchandising administrative activities, including budget monitoring, purchase order creation, invoice follow-up, and coordination with logistics, warehouse, procurement, and finance teams.
- You will manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring excellent organization, quality, and attention to detail.
- You will bring creativity, innovation, and a strong sense of aesthetics to continuously elevate the visual expression of Universal Genève.
What Will Make You Successful
- You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in visual merchandising, retail design, interior design, architecture, or related creative fields.
- You have proven project management experience, ideally within luxury, watchmaking, jewelry, fashion, or premium retail environments.
- You have education in visual merchandising, interior design, retail design, architecture, or a related discipline.
- You have advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- You have strong project management skills and excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
- You have experience with 3D software such as SketchUp, Rhino, or similar visualization tools, which would be considered an advantage.
- You have experience working with SAP or other ERP systems, which would be a plus.
- You are fluent in English, and additional languages such as French, Italian, or German would be considered an asset.
- You have a passion for luxury, fine watchmaking, design, and the heritage of Universal Genève.
- You have a strong understanding of aesthetics, materials, design principles, and retail environments.
- You are highly organized and capable of managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
