At the heart of operational excellence, this internship offers a unique opportunity to enhance watch production performance through data-driven analysis and continuous improvement initiatives. 

Your mission will be to support the optimization of production performance by leveraging MES data, improving daily performance management routines, and deploying Lean initiatives across watch assembly lines. Working closely with Production and Industrialization teams, you will contribute to increasing efficiency, reducing waste, and strengthening operational discipline on the shopfloor. 

 

Your contribution : 

 

  • Analyze production performance using MES data 

- Extract and analyze production data from MES systems  

- Monitor key performance indicators (output, lead time, WIP, bottlenecks)  

- Identify performance gaps and improvement opportunities  

- Ensure data reliability and consistency 

  • Support and implement daily performance management routines 

- Implement and structure daily performance routines (tier meetings / QRQC), ensuring clear processes and consistency across teams  

- Prepare and lead daily performance reviews using relevant and reliable KPIs  

- Consolidate and structure key KPIs for shopfloor teams, ensuring clarity and ease of use  

- Track deviations, ensure proper escalation, and follow up on action plans  

- Continuously improve the structure, efficiency, and impact of daily performance routines 

  • Drive Lean and continuous improvement initiatives 

- Identify inefficiencies and sources of waste (waiting time, rework, imbalances)  

- Support Lean initiatives (process optimization, line balancing, standard work)  

- Contribute to root cause analysis (5 Whys, Ishikawa)  

- Ensure follow-up of action plans and measure impact 

  • Collaborate with Production and Industrialization teams 

- Work closely with Production teams (watch assembly) and Industrialization  

- Support the implementation of process improvements and new standards  

- Ensure alignment between process design and operational performance  

- Contribute to continuous improvement workshops  

- Conduct flow analysis (spaghetti diagrams) to identify unnecessary movements and optimize workshop layouts  

  • Improve performance monitoring and reporting tools 

- Develop or enhance performance dashboards (Excel / Power BI)  

- Improve visibility on production performance and deviations 

- Support the standardization of KPIs and reporting practices

You will fit perfectly into our squad if: 

 

  • You have previous academic or internship experience in manufacturing, industrial engineering, or operations is a strong advantage 

  • You hold or are currently completing a Master’s degree from a leading engineering school, with a specialization in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field 

  • You have knowledge of Lean / continuous improvement methodologies (5 Whys, Ishikawa, 5S) and understanding of production KPIs (output, lead time, WIP, adherence to plan) 

  • You possess strong excel and data analysis skills

  • You are fluent in English and French
