As a Senior Engineer – SAP Basis Administration, you will manage and operate Breitling’s SAP S/4HANA landscape across Development, Quality, and Production environments. You will lead a distributed Basis team to deliver smooth system operations, proactive monitoring, and timely incident resolution. You will collaborate with infrastructure and cybersecurity teams to maintain system compliance and availability. You will act as the primary escalation point for Basis-related production incidents and coordinate with SAP or service partners for rapid resolution. You will support ongoing and future RISE with SAP transformation or migration projects.
Your contribution:
Operations and system health:
- You will manage installation, configuration, and administration of all SAP systems (including S/4HANA and related components)
- You will ensure day‑to‑day system availability, backups, and disaster recovery readiness
- You will oversee system monitoring, background jobs, logs, dumps, and alerts to detect issues early.
Performance and stability:
- You will monitor and tune system performance (app servers, HANA DB, interfaces) to meet SLAs
- You will plan and execute upgrades, support packs, kernel patches, and technical maintenance to keep systems current and stable
- You will design and maintain a robust system landscape (DEV/QAS/PRD), including client strategy and copies
Security and compliance:
- You will manage users, roles, and authorizations in line with security and audit requirements
- You will ensure system security (SAP notes, patches, hardening) and compliance with internal and external standards
- You will define and maintain backup, restore, and DR procedures as part of D&T risk management
Change, projects, and improvements:
- You will own the transport management process and enforce change control for all SAP environments
- You will support technical design for new projects, integrations, and system changes, including migrations or RISE with SAP initiatives
- You will drive continuous improvement in automation, monitoring, and standardization of SAP operations
Leadership and vendor management:
- You will lead and coordinate the Basis team (onshore, offshore, nearshore), providing direction and escalation support
- You will manage external hosting/cloud partners and SAP support for critical incidents and service quality
- You will maintain documentation, runbooks, and governance for the SAP technical landscape, and communicate with D&T and business stakeholders

You will fit well to our squad if:

You have 8-10 years experience in SAP Basis and 3 years minimum as a lead or equivalent position

You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science/IT; SAP certification will be an advantage

You have hands-on experience in performance tuning, high availability, and disaster recovery planning; experience with RISE migration is an advantage

You have strong knowledge of authorization architecture and related tools

You have a solid understanding of SAP system security, transport strategy, and change control procedures

You have demonstrated experience leading offshore or nearshore delivery teams

You have excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills

You are fluent in English; knowledge of French is a plus
