Your future Team:
Join the squad at Breitling, a Swiss watch brand with a 140-year heritage. We’re in search of a Finance Controller who will be responsible for the management of all finance and accounting operations for Breitling Oceania. The Finance Controller is a hands on, end-to-end role which includes bookkeeping, financial/corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, taxation and compliance, budget preparation and reforecasting, administration and insurances. You will report to the Managing Director, Breiling Oceania.
Your contribution:
- You will enter creditors weekly/when required, and conduct AP runs to both domestic and international suppliers
- You will reconcile AR and manage aged debtors
- You will manage healthy working capital to Cash Conversion Cycles to ensure DPO, DSO and DIO targets are met
- You will perform regular reconciliations for bank accounts, petty cash and various credit card accounts
- You will assist with weekly stocktake and run monthly stock reports, prepare monthly COGS and inventory calculations
- You will maintain fixed assets register
- You will prepare monthly payroll and superannuation
- You will work with external adviser to ensure compliance with federal and state taxation filing requirements, including preparation and lodgement of monthly BAS/IAS and payroll tax returns
- You will manage detailed annual budgeting and re-forecasting throughout the year
- You will manage tracking of actual vs. budget on various aspects of the Company’s financial performance and financial position
- You will work with management to ensure smooth monthly reporting for both local office and global parent reporting requirements
- You will prepare and perform month end close and month end reporting, including cash flow reconciliations and monthly conference calls with global parent

- You will manage weekly cashflow forecasting
- You will manage various insurances within the business
- You will work with external adviser to ensure compliance with federal and state taxation filing requirements
- You will liaise with auditors to assist with annual statutory audits
- You will coordinate the preparation of and ensuring the compliance of all statutory filing obligations
- You will provide accurate and real-time financial information to the Managing Director on an as-needed basis
You will fit perfectly into our team if:
- You have Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related Finance discipline
- You have min. 5 years of experience in a similar role, of which 2 years should be in the Capacity of Finance Manager, Controller or equivalent
- You have proven experience in budgeting, financial management and reporting with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- You have experience in accounting for inventories
- You have good understanding of IFRS, including the newly implemented accounting standards including IFRS9, IFRS15 and IFRS16 as well as Australian state and federal taxes
- You have experience in statutory reporting and cash flows as well as financial systems including SAP and MYOB
- You have high level of proficiency in a range of Microsoft applications with advanced MS Excel skills
- You possess strong core values of honesty, integrity and demonstrate a high level of accountability and professionalism
- You have proven leadership and people management skills
- You have excellent oral and written communication and report writing skills, with high level presentation skill
