We are looking for a Lead e-Commerce EMEA & Managing Director BEU (temporary mission) to join our team in Lijnden, Amsterdam area, Netherlands. Reporting directly to the Global Head of eCommerce & Digital Engagement in Switzerland, you will play a pivotal role in accelerating our e-commerce growth, strengthening our digital presence across European markets, and ensuring an exceptional premium customer experience.
This is much more than an e-commerce project or business development role. It is a strategic leadership position with real impact, combining commercial responsibility, digital transformation, market development and cross-functional leadership.
Your contribution:
- Lead the local organization, setting strategic priorities and objectives, developing teams, and ensuring strong operational and commercial performance.
- Own the e-commerce business budget/targets across EMEA and SEA, identifying opportunities and implementing initiatives to drive revenue growth, profitability, customer acquisition, and market expansion, ultimately achieving business targets.
- Develop and implement new sales plans while continuously improving existing e-commerce processes, tools and customer journeys to maximize commercial performance and customer experience.
- Lead e-commerce logistics and operational excellence, ensuring seamless end-to-end operations, strong execution and readiness to support business growth.
- Develop and drive customer loyalty and retention initiatives, strengthening online brand awareness, engagement and long-term customer relationships.
- Develop plans to expand the online presence into new markets, identifying opportunities, assessing market potential and supporting successful market launches.
- Steer e-commerce stock planning and management across the responsible markets, tracking product performance and optimizing the product portfolio, stock efficiency, and product lifecycle.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with key business partners across payments, logistics, e-commerce platforms, and other strategic areas.
- Oversee internal and external Multilingual Customer Service Teams (Amsterdam and Hong Kong), ensuring a premium customer experience and strong alignment with e-commerce and commercial objectives.
You will fit perfectly into our team if:
- You have at least 5 years of experience in a senior e-commerce, digital commerce, business development or commercial leadership role, ideally within retail, luxury, premium or fashion.
- You have a proven track record of successfully managing teams and leading cross-functional organizations, with the ability to set direction, inspire people and deliver strong business results.
- You have strong experience in e-commerce management, digital operations and business development, with a solid understanding of online commercial performance, customer journeys and market dynamics.
- You have a strong commercial and strategic mindset, with demonstrated experience in driving revenue growth, profitability, customer acquisition, retention and market expansion.
- You have a strong analytical and structured approach, with the ability to interpret data, monitor KPIs, assess business performance and translate insights into actionable decisions.
- You have proven experience leading complex digital projects across internal and external teams and are comfortable managing multiple stakeholders across different markets and functions.
- You are experienced in e-commerce platforms, CMS systems and UX/UI best practices, with a strong understanding of digital customer experience.
- You are comfortable working with digital and business tools, including Microsoft Office, Jira, Confluence, GA4, SAP and Power BI.
- You are comfortable navigating a dynamic, international and demanding environment, demonstrating strong organization, resilience, agility and the ability to prioritize effectively.
- You are a strong communicator and stakeholder manager, comfortable working with senior management, local market teams and cross-functional partners across EMEA and SEA.
- You are fluent in English. Additional languages, particularly Dutch, French, or German are a strong plus but not mandatory.
- Strong presentation and communication skills are a plus.
