We are currently looking for our next colleague to complete our squad! It’s more than a Purchaising Manager role, it’it’s an opportunity to share and leverage all your Breitling knowledge while playing a key role in ensuring the right resources are available at the right time.
In this role, you will prepare, analyze, and monitor monthly capacity reservations with our supplier partners for watch movements and movement components, in line with the Production Plan and in collaboration with Product Development for new releases. You will also manage the budget, analysis, and execution data related to your scope, as well as lead the Procurement Agent team, including precious metals and service-level performance.
You will be responsible for processing purchases and managing the administrative aspects of the assigned procurement portfolio, contributing to the smooth and efficient execution of our purchasing activities.
Your Contribution:
Procurement of Movement Components – 40%
- You prepare, analyze, and monitor monthly capacity reservations, annual departmental and supplier budgets, budget changes, and supplier workload plans.
- You define and enforce purchasing and supply rules covering prices, batch sizes, sourcing, and other key parameters.
- You support product development and new launches through RFQs, supplier selection, value analysis, and component procurement.
- You negotiate prices and lead times with suppliers and implement actions to improve supplier security, flexibility, and responsiveness.
- You implement actions to reduce inventory levels and improve supply efficiency.
- You establish and monitor supply procedures, SLAs, NDAs, and other agreements with suppliers and partners.
Procurement of Movements – 30%
- You analyze ERP Requirements Planning (RRP) results and manage supplier confirmations, discrepancies, and exceptions related to lead times, prices, quantities, advances, postponements, and cancellations.
- You identify exceptional needs, propose solutions, and ensure systematic supplier follow-up, anticipating and communicating potential delivery delays.
- You manage supplier order portfolios, including monthly reviews, delay prevention, and return tracking.
- You keep the ERP up to date with supplier information, including prices, lead times, and delivery dates.
- You handle specific requests from development and planning project managers and coordinate component procurement to ensure launch plans are met.
Performance Management – 30%
- You define and monitor relevant KPIs for the Purchasing & Supply Department and suppliers, analyze results, and provide qualitative reporting.
- You define and implement action plans to achieve objectives and continuously improve purchasing and supply activities.
- You manage component origin and provenance data, including common-law and preferential origin declarations.
- You propose improvements to the principles, processes, and rules governing the activity.
Team Management & Development
- You set and monitor team objectives, conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and prepare salary increase and bonus recommendations.
- You ensure the smooth operation of the department through effective leadership, follow-up, communication, conflict management, and corrective actions.
- You ensure compliance with working hours, absences, leave, and internal regulations, and maintain job descriptions and HR reporting.
- You support recruitment, internal transfers, onboarding, training, and skills development, including maintaining skills matrices in collaboration with HR.
Communication & Stakeholder Management
- You communicate clearly, concisely, and effectively with internal stakeholders, including the Department Director, Movement Production Director, your team, and other departments.
- You build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including suppliers and consultants.
- You represent Management with professionalism, fairness, and neutrality, ensuring effective collaboration across the organization.

You will fit perfectly into our team if:
- You have 5–10 years of experience in purchasing and supply of Movement components, including 3–5 years in team management.
- You hold a Master's degree in Engineering or another relevant technical field, such as Mechanical Engineering or Microtechnology, or equivalent experience, ideally complemented by training in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Purchasing.
- You have strong knowledge of strategic purchasing, operational procurement, and Supply Chain management.
- You have a solid understanding of the Movement component supplier network and ideally experience in the watch industry.
- You are proficient in ERP systems, data analysis tools, and project monitoring, including Excel and pivot tables.
- You have excellent communication and negotiation skills and are comfortable working with stakeholders and suppliers at all levels.
- You are fluent in English and French.
