Join our vibrant team in La Chaux-de-Fonds as Lean Manufacturing Intern for 6 months and be part of something extraordinary! 

 

You will contribute to develop and implement Lean methodologies to streamline production processes, focusing on waste reduction, process improvement, and enhancing overall efficiency across the production floor. You will conduct value stream mapping and process flow analysis to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement, driving continuous improvement initiatives that align with Lean principles. You will also deploy a WIP optimization tool aimed at balancing workflow, minimizing excess inventory, and improving production scheduling to enhance throughput and efficiency. Your goal will be to monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of Lean initiatives, providing actionable insights to drive further improvements. 

 

Your contribution:

Project Leader role

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data on the current movement component production process, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of workflow and potential improvement areas. 

  • Prepare and deliver detailed progress reports, insights, and strategic recommendations to stakeholders and senior management, driving informed decision-making and aligning project outcomes with business objectives. 

 

Lean Manufacturing

  • Conduct root cause analysis on production bottlenecks and quality issues, identifying areas where process improvements can have the greatest impact on efficiency and output. 

  • Apply Lean Manufacturing principles and advanced analytical tools to enhance production workflows, reduce cycle times, optimize resource utilization, and improve key performance metrics across the board. 

  • Develop and propose innovative solutions aimed at eliminating waste, streamlining processes, and significantly improving overall production efficiency and effectiveness.

Your  will fit perfectly into our team if:

  • You are currently in a master's degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain or IT Management
  • Ideally, you have a Supply Chain Management Certification (e.g. ASCM/APICS: CPIM) or a Project Management Certification (e.g. PMI-PMP or Agile Scrum Master)
  • You have a first practice of Project Manager / Leader activities
  • You have Project management and Lean Manufacturing practices appetency
  • You have interest for processes and change management 
  • You speak fluently French and English 
  • You have a strong ability to communicate with various stakeholders
