We are a team of 3 and are currently looking for our next colleague to complete our squad! You will work in our office in Lijnden. It’s more than a Finance Manager role, it’s a role in which you’ll have the opportunity to play a central role in ensuring our local business runs smoothly, profitably, and in full alignment with our global standards.
In your position, you will report directly to the BENELUX Finance Director. This position is a great next step for a junior with min. 4 years of experience who is aspiring for a senior role.
Your contribution:
- You will prepare and execute month-end closings and financial reporting for the Dutch entity of Breitling, including full Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reconciliations
- You will work closely with local management to ensure smooth monthly reporting, aligned with both local statutory requirements and global HQ standards
- You will track progress against financial and accounting objectives across various dimensions of the company’s financial performance and position
- You will prepare the annual budget and contribute to financial re-forecasting throughout the year
- You will be accountable for year-end closing and reporting and will liaise with external auditors during the annual statutory audit process
- You will manage the company’s insurance portfolio, ensuring coverage is appropriate and up to date
- You will represent the company’s interests in interactions with external partners, including tax authorities, banks, insurers, and other business stakeholders
- You will be the crucial link between finance and operations and will improve synergies within the company
- You will manage one FTE responsible for daily financial transactions and supervise and support the professional development and personal growth of your team member
You will fit well to our squad if:
- You hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related Finance discipline
- You have minimum 4 years of work experience in a similar role, ideally within the luxury goods industry or audit company experience in the relevant industries will be beneficial
- You have a good understanding of local accounting rules and Tax Law with regards to commercial activities
- You are proficient in financial software and have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- You are proactive, results-driven, and enjoy taking initiative to get things done
- You speak Dutch and English fluently (mandatory)
- You have a solid understanding of the retail and/or luxury industry, or you are highly motivated to develop your expertise in these areas
